Ninni Korkalo (b.1982 Helsinki) and Tuomas Korkalo (b. 1978 Rovaniemi) live and work in Rovaniemi. Both work with various techniques and medias. Korkalos draw, paint and make installations. They have different kinds of projects in socially engaged art and environmental art. They are always looking for some new ways to express their ideas more clearly. Artists work in solo and joint projects. Korkalos have had solo and group exhibitions in Finland and abroad since year 2000. Tuomas has curated exhibitions in Finland and in Russia. Ninnis and Tuomas latest works play with the idea of postmodern way to understand personality as complex construction. Current project tries to find ways to deal different kinds of social and cultural inequality through art.
